Community

At our heart is our people.

At Junction Four Productions, we're committed to our involvement in the local community, either in a theatre setting or through our community projects.

Whether it’s our membership performing shows, singing or taken drama lessons, our body of volunteers or our wider community around the Fylde Coast, we like to look out for everyone.

We’re growing as a society and aiming to create a welcoming space with many usable areas in a setting that is beneficial to everyone.

We are also passionate about mental health and removing the stigma associated with it. One of the ways to help deal with this much maligned condition is through involvement in group activities whilst nurturing conversation. Over the last few years we have held coffee mornings to raise money for Time to Change, the mental health charity.

Workers Playtime

With a grant from Fylde Borough Council we have created a new area of storage in our warehouse designed to house our extensive collection of props that we can offer for hire, which cover the eras from the blitz to the Beatles.

We have used the radio show “Workers Playtime” as our theme and have created a space with an impressive fireplace, kitchen area and food store. If you have any items you feel would be suitable, then please bring them along. We are always interested in a restoration project.

The area is now available to use for meeting areas and workshops and is designed for the building and fixing of our small props. Thinking about hosting a crafty coffee morning? Why not come along and check it out!

 Join the Junctioneers

Do you enjoy organising, painting, creating and designing? Are you free on Saturdays from 9:30am – 1pm?

If so, then why not join the Junctioneers?! Every Saturday morning we meet customers, organise the workshop, design and build scenery and props and collate orders ready for collection. We are working hard to create an organised storage area with easy access to all scenery and props for customers to view and chose their required sets.

With a breakfast on offer and a brew always on hand, we are always open to new members of any ability to come and join in.

The J4 Hub

The Hub is a partnership project with Nichola Kennedy who uses the resources within our Studio with her group of young adults who all have learning difficulties.

It’s symbiotic relationship because the group get a positive experience with a variety of craft exercises whilst helping paint and restore scenery and props which in turn helps us out.

The group have made a variety of items from planters to bug nests and are selling these at local fairs to raise money for their equipment.
